Bruce Hudson

Bruce Hudson Portrait Photography

Seattle area native Bruce Hudson has led a colorful life. As a professional musician and educator, he had the opportunity to play with such greats as Bob Hope and Seattle’s own Kenny G. As a nationally recognized photographer, he’s photographed politicians including President Bush 41 and former Washington State Governor Gary Locke and his family. Many sports celebrities also call Bruce Hudson their personal family photographer; some include future Hall of Famers Randy Johnson and Omar Vizquel. Bruce also knows and photographs syndicated nighttime radio personality Delilah and has for over 20 years.

In 1990 Bruce received the Degree of Master Photographer from the Professional Photographers of America and he is only one of 40 active members in the world admitted to the prestigious Cameracraftsmen of America organization. A much sought after speaker and educator to the professional photography world, Bruce Hudson has spoken on behalf of Fuji Film USA as well as numerous other industry vendors in nearly all 50 states, Canada, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico.

On the personal side, Bruce loves to golf, scuba dive, fish off his dock on Lake Sawyer, and spend quality time with his wife Terri and family. Together they have a passion for cooking, traveling, fine wine, and family togetherness. The four Hudson family children include Bruce’s Josh and McKenna and Terri’s Ashley and Austin.

In 2007, Bruce and Terri collaborated to create a unique fine art line of photography—Truce. It stands for Terri and Bruce, and they both enjoy creating new themed collections together every year.

Terri Hudson

Headshots

Terri (Haeg) Hudson has always been an artist. She grew up in the small northern Idaho town of St. Maries, right on the shores of the St. Joe River. Surrounded by insurmountable beauty, she was inspired to paint and draw, many times winning local awards along the way. After graduating high school, Terri moved to Spokane, WA, to attend Spokane Falls Community College, where she studied commercial photography. As her passion for photography grew, so did her thirst for travel! This led her to a career in the airline industry working for such companies as Pacific Express, Alaska, and Horizon airlines. Later, while living in San Antonio, she worked as sales and marketing manager and did print enhancement for a highly successful portrait studio, even earning the “Best Print Enhancement” award from the Texas Professional Photographers Association!

Terri and Bruce Hudson were married on October 6, 2007 and they both share a love of photography, travel, fine wine, and fine food. They have been able to combine their passions for travel and image creation and formed a fine art line—Truce—the same year they married. It’s an artistic collaboration that combines the names Terri and Bruce! For more information about these unique line original art pieces, please visit the Truce Fine Art Page.

Terri has two children: Ashley, who lives in Texas, and Austin, who is a high school senior at Tahoma High School in Maple Valley. She is in charge of the studio accounting and also helps with our marketing efforts.

Josh Hudson

Digital Photos

Josh was born November 12, 1982, just 3 months after Hudson’s Portrait Design was founded by his late mother Sue and his father Bruce Hudson. He was actually the first ever “Employee of the Month”! Literally growing up in the business, Josh has a unique perspective and insight that makes him a valuable asset to Hudson’s Portrait Design. He is currently in charge of some of the day-to-day operations, client relations, and studio marketing.

As a graduate of Washington State University in 2005 with a degree in political science, he planned on attending law school sometime in 2006. As he waited for his applications to process at various schools throughout the northwest, Josh took a temporary position with Hudson’s. Guess what-he never left! His passion for the family business grew and his eagerness to assist with all aspects of the studio’s operations continued to grow his knowledge of the day-to-day operations. He is a valuable asset whose energy and enthusiasm is felt at the studio every day.
